PRESS RELEASE
SONORA- On March 11, 2023, Tuolumne County Alliance for Resources & Environment (TuCARE) will hold their Annual Dinner and Auction. The event is an opportunity for members and the public to gather, enjoy a great dinner, have fun at the silent and live auctions, and be entertained and educated by a keynote speaker. Proceeds from the auctions go to support TuCARE’s “Tours for Kids” programs. This year marks the organization’s 34th annual event.
Guest speaker will be California’s 1st Senate District Representative Brian Dahle. Dahle ran as the Republican nominee for governor against Newsome last year. Senator Dahle represents 11 Counties, including Alpine, El Dorado, Lassen, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, and Siskiyou.
Dahle was elected to California’s First Assembly District in 2012 and was elected to represent the 1st Senate District in 2019. Before joining the Legislature, Dahle served on the Lassen County Board of Supervisors for 16 years. In the legislature, he sits on the Senate Committees: Budget & Budget Sub 2 Resources; Energy, Utilities & Communications (Vice Chair); Environmental Quality (Vice Chair); Governance & Finance; Natural Resources; and Transportation. Dahle works across party lines for job creation and economic development in the rural North State and throughout California, pushing policies that keep families on their farms, protect water rights and support the business community.
In addition to his service in elected office, Brian is a multigenerational farmer and small business owner. Brian and his wife Megan, an Assemblywoman representing the 1st District, live in Bieber and have three children. The dinner and auction will be held at the Elks Lodge in Sonora.
